is,am,are的区别和用法

is，am，are的区别是：is在第三人称单数后面使用，例如he/she/it is；am在第一人称后面使用，例如I am；are用于复数，例如you are、we are、they are。is、am、are三者都是be动词的一般现在时态，意思为“是”。

三者的用法：

1、is的用法

第三人称单数 is，如he(男) is ; she(女) is；it(不是人) is。

例句：She is very virulent about her former employer.

她对她过去的老板恨之入骨。

2、am的用法

第一人称I am。I am还可缩写成I'm。但是am与not不能缩写。

例句：I am a student.

我是一名学生。

3、are的用法

复数名词 are 如第二人称you are； 一人称复数we are；三人称复数they are。

例句：We are taught to construe these terms in a particular way.
